Entity FX Scores Second Emmy Award for Sport Science

Film, television and commercial visual effects company Entity FX has landed a 2009 Sports Emmy® Award for its work on the television series Sport Science. The award marks Entity FX's second Emmy accolade for the show, which is produced by BASE Productions and airs on Fox Sports Network (FSN).
Entity FX was recognized in the category of Outstanding Graphic Design, with the following Entity FX team members named on the award: Senior Graphic Designer: Mat Beck; Graphic Designers: Rod Park, Trent H. Smith; and Graphic Artists: Mike "Pharoah" Barrett, Junji Hirano, Andrew Lema, Rik Panero, Andrea Shear, Christina Spring, Mike Spring, Jesse Siglow, Ian Wilson, Doug Witsken and Kaz Yoshida.
Sport Science combines live footage, motion capture, digital models and detailed graphics to give the audience a look into the physical feats of leading athletes. From football and baseball to billiards and boxing, the show explores the science behind the unmatched abilities of sports performers at the tops of their games.
Entity FX received the first of its back-to-back Sports Emmy honors in April 2008, when it worked with BASE Productions to develop the look of Sport Science in its initial season. This year's awards were held April 27, 2009, in New York City, with winners in 32 categories selected from among more than 750 entries. |
